This looks interesting, I am thinking of trying it with plarn for a porch rug, you could use scrap fabric or old cloths, whatever strikes your fancy;

I teach locker hooking at a couple of workshops.. My latest student project has been a clutch purse.. I really like the versatility... There are canvases that you can get that allow you to make afghans or hats..
