I've just finished a number of non-lace projects, and still have one on the needles. They came out well, I am pleased with them.
And last night I started another shawl, and I am VERY pleased with it.
I'm not sure what it is. Working with fine wool? The little needles? The logic puzzle factor of following a chart and taming the holes and stitches into beauty? The silly thing is all of four inches long and I keep stopping to spread it out and admire the beginning of the pattern. I keep petting the darned thing!
Curious and curiouser.
This is the shawl patten, BTW. This is the yarn. |

I'm not surprised you keep stopping to pet it - it's going to be gorgeous. Of course, the more you stop to admire it, the longer it will take to knit. _________________ [url=http://www.TickerFactory.com/counter/w3Fpqgo/]

I understand completely, Frances... I've been pondering another lace project myself... _________________ Exodus 35:25-26 |

There was a lovely woolly parcel waiting for me when I got home, intended for a lacy bedjacket. I'd really love to get started but it would be project number 5 and one of them is lacy too.
And like you Frances, I keep stopping and spreading it out and admiring it and expecting DH to admire it too.
There's no hope for me. _________________ Yvonne

"I think we're going to need a bigger boat." I just downloaded a feather and fan shawl for some lovely laceweight yarn I got from The Unique Sheep. I love knitting lace. It's amazing that holes can be so pretty! _________________ I have learned over the years that when one's mind is made up, this diminishes fear; knowing what must be done does away with fear. - Rosa Parks |
