I made a few dish cloths for friends and family in the last month or two, but never kept any for myself! So I finally finished one up and used it for the first time last night! I was a little disappointed in how it looked after it got wet (I used fairly dark colors that had just a bit of white and I think the colors bled onto the white parts) but I really liked how it felt. Nice and thick and like I was actually cleaning my table and stove top. I'm hooked!! Very Happy

Now you know what all the hype is about. So, you can knit them at will without feeling guilty about the time you are spending on them. After all, they are very useful. Very Happy

I just love them. And....as for the color....I love colored ones, but because I wash them with a little bleach the colors always fade anyway so I generally use white. They are just unbeatable for wiping down your kitchen.

You were all right on. I will never use anything else for dishcloths. My 2 daughters and my DIL are hooked too. Unfortunately, I'm the only one who knits. Thank goodness they last a long time Laughing .

ooooooooooooh ..... a dishcloth ! ...
simply the best stress reliever there is !

I can pick mine up after a stressful day & no counting ...
no gimics and voila a finished dishcloth.

There was a pattern somewhere to start with 3 stitches and add a stitch and yarn over etc etc.
I dont do YO (lol) so I changed the pattern to suit me.

They sure are addictive tho ....careful ! * wink*
