I love that pattern, Jackie. I'll have to bookmark it for further consideration.

Amy, it is so easy to do.

And I converted it into an in-the-round sweater and tried steeks!! eeeekkkk!!!

I added a kangaroo pouch for the neckline which worked out really well. I crocheted the steek, cut the yarn and (surprise, surprise!!) I didn't panic! THEN, I read that crocheted steeks aren't recommended for the heavier yarn (it's worsted weight acrylic). I think I tacked it down quite well so hopefully all will be ok. I added the crewneck and I like the look of it folded to the inside so I made that change.

The armhole steeks are still intact. I don't dare cut them until I'm ready to sew in the sleeves. And I think I will still do the crochet work but am going to try to work out a way to strengthen it. I have it pictured in my mind - can I bring it to life??

I have started my mittens, but decided not to take them on holiday with me. I'm back at work for almost two weeks, then have another week off so hopefully I'll be able to crack on with them then.

Sounds as if there's going to be some interesting colour work going on with various projects
I'm working on a stripey sweater for my GS so that will do for mine - not much time at present to try anything adventurous - sounds as if you did really well with your steeking Jackie - very brave of you

I've decided that there isn't enough contrast between the two yarns that I was using for my mittens, so I'm going to frog them.

However, with many thanks to Nony, I will probably be starting a chullo over the weekend (once I can find the right needles).

I finished my project before the end of September, but it's a super-secret test knit for Lobug, so I can't show it to all of you. Trust me, it's gorgeous. She is a brilliant designer. Very Happy
