So, it's nearly January. If you're planning to take part in this months KAL, what are you treating yourself to?

It's not a new project, but I'm going to treat myself to some new socks - I currently have 4 pairs in various states of completion. Embarassed

I am sticking to chunky yarn. I am using my secret santa's pretty blue chunky yarn doubled with a 'not just yarns' purchase to make it a bit tweedy. I'm doing a cowel, seed stitch with ribbed edges..
I know I promised myself I'd work on socks but they'll have to wait until my arm is better. I'm not up to fine needles yet. But that sock yarn is sitting there, in my stash bin, mocking me . . . Rolling Eyes

I'm almost finished with my Semele shawl in handspun sarkle fibre from Fyberspates ...

I've also started an Artichaut in a laceweight merino single from Julie Spins ...

These are both for me... but Mum also wants her first pair of socks... and my SIL has her birthday in a fortnight...

I just finished the body of my jumper and about to cast on the sleeves. Then I plan on doing socks and mittens, from my secret santa parcel, all for me

I'm also considering a pair of socks with the lovely plum yarn I got in my Secret Santa package. I want something lacy and lovely.

Not sure yet. I desperately want to finish some WIPs (not to mention a few UFOs that lurk about).

I also want to cast on something new too!

Decisions! Decisions! Rolling Eyes

I'm doing the short sleeved chunky cardigan /waistcoat thingy that I posted in the " Now that the Christmas Knitting is over" thread yesterday, as my January KAL.

I'm nearly done with Theo's blanket then I'm going to do a little one for Milo Armadillo so adding anothr WIP isn't too bad. Very Happy

How's everybody doing?

My pattern is quite easy and the yarn is lovely and soft but a bit hairy which is irritating my chest a bit. It's probably the alpaca in it. Sad

I am enjoying doing it though.

I'm doing the "Bed Socks with Novelty Yarn" from the "Little Box of Socks". They knit up so fast!! Almost done. And three skeins of yarn used up!

It will be my first felting project (well, first for "felting on purpose". I accidentally felted a beautiful pair of socks about a year ago Sad but that doesn't count!!)

Then, it will be back to some WIPs.

I made a quick pair of mitts and a doll t-shirt for Anna, as her birthday was on the 3rd. I am still working on the Heelhead scarf and I have a test knit for Lobug that will be enjoyable.
