Ive recently started knitting a pair of socks with baby yarn weight "2" which i think is sport weight... I have knit them on 3.5mm needles and had a gauge of 4.5 st/in. Its the first pair I've made properly. Ive finished one and am on my second one... I have included a pic Smile

They are magic loop socks. But i had trouble doing the kitchener stitch and making it look good and less square. Any tips?

They have a few holes but in my opinion they are pretty good for a first attempt.

A touch of a steam iron may flatten the toe for you. Or you could wait until you wash them n flatten it with hand massage while it's wet.

It's a very good first sock Lolytte! You can use any weight of yarn to knit socks, depending on how thick you want them. The holes you see in your stitches might be caused because you used a needle that was too large for your yarn, but that's just a preference. I like tightly knit socks, but it's true that the looser ones are cushier but less sturdy. With every pair you make, you will get closer to your ideal pair of socks Smile Keep going, you are doing great!

Looks pretty good to me! I'm working on my first sock too. I did it toe-up tho, so didn't have to worry with the kitchener stitch. Very Happy
